Case Study

A Web Video from iVideo Production is now the most effective way to impact website visitors and generate new business 24/7.

Stockport Flooring wanted a promotional film that drove home the company’s commitment to delivering a quality and more personal service. For this particular job we stuck closely to their brief as they had a clear idea of how they wanted their video to look.

Video Marketing is set to become the number one way of introducing your services and products directly to prospective clients and convey your professional credibility, areas of expertise and what separates you from your competitors. A web video on your site immediately engages your visitors in a way that simple text and static graphics cannot do. iVideo Production of Manchester create web video, conference video and corporate video, in fact any type of video you need, working with whatever budget you have.

“The guys provided video expertise that has helped generate many new business inquiries.”

  • Abolition of UK Film Council

Some decisions beggar belief. At a time when new and emerging film makers need all the support they can get the governments decision to abolish the film council reeks of short sightedness and political expediency.

I write this as someone who has never received a penny from my local screen agency (North West Vision and Media), but I have had their support and advice for my projects and recently have been offered completion money for a film I managed to get privately funded.

The point though is not just about the money, but the support. Having attended many of the script development weekends I can honestly say these were of more benefit than any amount of money thrown towards me. The staff at my local agency have always been ready to listen, offer advice and critiques of any work submitted.

I can’t imagine the consequences this is going to have on the UK film making community as a whole let alone here in the North West.

I think one of the biggest consequences will be of lost creative voices, and diluting of what types of films will be made in the future.  I see a future of low risk and lowbrow British films on the horizon.

I think that we as film makers are going to have to get even more creative and maverick in how we get our films made and seen

  • Media City Salford - It's taking shape...

Before too long the BBC will be moving part of their operation to the region, settling in to their new home in Salford Quays. Hopefully it will bring an added life to the city. We feel Manchester is a great city with a lot of potential to grow and the prospect of such a big organisation moving up here can only help.

Placenorthwest has just posted these interesting pictures showing what it all looks like on the inside:

It certainly looks to be a great place for bringing out Manchester’s creative side. I can’t wait for it to be up and running.
