Meet the Team
Mark Gill – Partner (Director/Writer)
After winning an RTS Student Award with his graduation film, Mark began production on THE VOORMAN PROBLEM, a whimsical dark comedy starring Martin Freeman and Tom Hollander. The film is now out on the festival circuit and has achieved a current total of 22 Official Selections including at the Aspen ShortFest, Valencia and Rhode Island Film Festivals. It has been selected for the BFI London Film Festival 2012. Mark is currently in post-production his next short film FULL TIME which stars BAFTA winner Chris Langham (THE THICK OF IT, BLACK POND) and will be scored by Shigeru Umebayashi (A SINGLE MAN, IN THE MOOD FOR LOVE). He is also developing his first feature film.
Alex Roberts – Partner (Camera/Editor/Graphics)
Alex has been working as a freelance camera operator and editor for the past nine years. After meeting Mark they decided to form iVideo Production and pool their collective talents. Alex’s ability to problem solve alongside his ever burgeoning quiver of skills is an invaluable asset to the iVideo Team. Alex has a passion for photography, Russian and Arsenal.
Baldwin Li – Producer
Baldwin trained at Granada Studios as a sound recordist and cameraman before going freelance in 2007. Soon after leaving, he established Honlodge Productions Ltd and directed/produced a low-budget feature ’25Gs’ which has been distributed in Canada and in 2010 produced ‘The Voorman Problem’ which Mark directed. Mark and Baldwin continue to work together on creative projects with a comedy series currently under option at the BBC. If he’s not out filming, or ruthlessly editing one of Mark’s scripts, it’s most likely you’ll find him training at Honglok Shaolin, where he teaches Kung fu.
Phil Wood – Director of Photography
Phil completed an MA degree in Film and Moving Image at the Northern Film School in 2005. Here he was formally trained in Cinematography and the art of lighting for both film and digital formats. Phil now specialises in both film and digital productions, which include shooting dramatised shorts, feature films and TV commercials.
Richard Mellor – Motion Graphics Designer
Richard’s skills never cease to amaze us. After studying at Stockport College for four years, he quickly developed an unhealthy obsession with all things post production. Outside of this Richard’s three loves are films, music and motorbikes.
