Meet the Team
Mark Gill – Partner (Director/Producer/Editor)
Mark has recently co-written a comedy series, which is currently under option with BBC Television. Last year he wrote and directed his first major short film, ‘The Voorman Problem’ starring Martin Freeman and Tom Hollander. In 2007 he graduated from the University of Central Lancashire with a 1st Class Honours Degree in Moving Image, winning a Royal Television Society award in the process. In a previous life he was a professional musician signed to the Universal Music Group. Mark is influenced by everything. But more often than not, Hemingway, The Smiths, Edward Hopper and Blade Runner.
Alex Roberts – Partner (Camera/Editor/Graphics)
Alex has been working as a freelance camera operator and editor for the past nine years. After meeting Mark they decided to form iVideo Production and pool their collective talents. Alex’s ability to problem solve alongside his ever burgeoning quiver of skills is an invaluable asset to the iVideo Team. Alex has a passion for photography, Russian and Arsenal.
Phil Wood – Director of Photography
Phil completed an MA degree in Film and Moving Image at the Northern Film School in 2005. Here he was formally trained in Cinematography and the art of lighting for both film and digital formats. Phil now specialises in both film and digital productions, which include shooting dramatised shorts, feature films and TV commercials.
Richard Mellor – Motion Graphics Designer
Richard’s skills never cease to amaze us. After studying at Stockport College for four years, he quickly developed an unhealthy obsession with all things post production. Outside of this Richard’s three loves are films, music and motorbikes.
Aaron Nicholas – Motion Graphics Designer
Aaron is very passionate about all things creative, which developed from his time at Liverpool John Moores University while studying Multimedia Design. A love of video production, motion graphics and graphic design as well as films, music and photography maintains that he is always inspired by the latest trends within the design industry.
Baldwin Li – Sound Recordist/Camera Operator/Producer
Baldwin trained at Granada Studios as a sound recordist and cameraman before going freelance in 2007. Soon after leaving, he established Honlodge Productions Ltd and directed/produced a low-budget feature ’25Gs’ which has been distributed in Canada and in 2010 produced ‘The Voorman Problem’ which Mark directed. Mark and Baldwin continue to work together on creative projects with a comedy series currently under option at the BBC. If he’s not out on a film or video shoot, or ruthlessly editing one of Mark’s scripts, it’s most likely you’ll find him training at The Dragon Academy, where he teaches Kung fu.
